Personal computing technology over the last couple of years
has started to meet the performance needs of most computer
users. The two biggest factors, processor speed and memory
(RAM), have become affordable and dependable. Because of
this, computer manufactures, such as Apple,
Dell,
and Sony,
have found that the way in which the computer looks, its
aesthetic
value, has become a factor some buyers use when determining
a purchase. Desktop computers are moving away from the beige
box they once were.
Not only are the appearances of desktops changing, but
laptop computers and PDA's (Personal Digital Assistances)
have a new look as well. Whether a computer is translucent
or brilliantly colored (or sometimes a mixture of both)
personal computing devises are being designed to please
the eye.
